ASSISTING WITH 10 METRES
- Assisting the Central Referee with the 10 metres has become a major role for the SO
- If the SO can watch the 10 metres, the CR can focus on the rucks and ball
- Maintaining good communication with both the CR and the players allows the 10 metres to be policed effectively
- Need to be urgent and into position early
- There are now three models that we run, "creatively" referred to as models 1, 2 & 3
MODEL 2 IS OUR CORE MODEL
- The reason for the shift towards models 1 & 2 was to assist in identifying short side players not coming back and to help the CR focus on the ruck.
