Should be looking to assist CR wherever possible, even in cases where it is not the direct responsibility of the SO
It is up to the CR to make the final decision and he can accept or reject the advice as he sees fit
If the CR is unsighted in the ruck or other parts of play, we need to ensure we are in the best position to help
Always sign off on phases of play, eg kicker etc
